I brought you sunshine in my eyes
and warmth with every hug,
My joy was wrapped in fur and gold,
my heart a gentle tug.
You tossed the ball—I chased the world—
and laid beside your feet.
Now I lie in golden fields where
every
breeze is sweet.
Don’t mourn too long—
I’m in the glow of every setting sun,
Still chasing dreams and butterflies,
still having so much fun.
And when you smile at golden light,
just know it comes from me,
A Retriever’s love, forever true,
in every memory.
