With watchful eyes and steady soul,
your shield, your silent knight.
I carried duty in my bones and love within my gaze.
You were my world, my human home,
through all our faithful days.
Now I guard a gate of stars
where only good dogs go,
where fields roll wide with purpose
and the moon hangs soft and low.
Don’t fear the dark—I’m not that far,
just past the silver ridge.
One day I’ll hear your voice again,
and meet you at the bridge.
