I stood so tall within your arms,
my heart ten times my size,
With trembling paws and mighty yaps,
I claimed my greatest prize.
No shadow knew more bravery,
no lap more fiercely mine-
A pint-sized monarch in your world,
your tiniest design.
Now heaven fits me just so right,
with sunbeams I command,
I strut through clouds and yip with pride,
still guarding where you stand.
When warmth wraps tight
around your chest
and whispers fill the room-
That’s me-your fierce forever flame-
still shining through the gloom.
