Rainbow Bridge Farewell to a
Miniature Schnauzer
I patrolled the yard with mustache proud and
bark sharp as a bell,
With wiry coat and watchdog pride,
I wore my duties well.
A beard of wisdom, eyes that gleamed
with humor, sass, and spark —
I guarded hearts with terrier style and
charm both loud and stark.
Now heaven’s gates are squeaky clean —
I’ve tidied every cloud,
And bark at shadows just for fun,
still brave, still bright, still proud.
Don’t miss me too long, human dear,
just scratch the sofa side —
That’s where I sat, that’s where I wait,
forever by your side.
